Tecnopackaging will develop a new interactive e-learning platform oriented for young farmers under the NARA project "Training on Agriculture and postharvest fruit and vegetables through sustainable best practices".
The project is co-financed by the European Union, with a total budget of 241.035 euros, within the Erasmus + KA2 program.
This project started by the end of December 2014 and will last until the end of November 2016.
The consortium consists of 5 partners from 4 different European countries (Aula Dei Science and Technology Park (Spain), Tecnopackaging (Spain), University Degli Studi Di Catania through the Department of Agriculture, Food and Environment (Di3A) (Italy), MarketMentoro Ltd (Greece) and Luxembourg Institute of Science and Technology (LIST) (Luxembourg).
The project aims to promote training on good sustainable practices in the postharvest of fruits and vegetables. To this end, an interactive platform that will offer a training course will cover the following training modules:
- Food Safety and postharvest technologies
- Transport and logistics of food
- Control of land, water resources and intermediate products of the process of harvest
The project kick-off meeting took place last December in Zaragoza at the coordinator facilities (Aula Dei Science and Technology Park).
